First time getting fish and chips from here and definitely the last. Got the halibut and chips; fish was dry and chips were under done. I'm not sure how this place has a 4.4 rating meanwhile a gem like Dave and Nancy's goes out of business. Very disappointing.
Everything was meh nothing jumped out at me and the waitress forgot about me, Im Actually here right now and Ive been done my food for 15 minutes and no bill.. nvm she just asked if I wanted the bill.. not bad chips but everything else is alright
So far best chipper in Burlington. I've moved back here from Scotland and this was by far the freshest tasting fish I've had since moving back from Scotland. Service was excellent and they came to make sure everything was good. But then again they found out I was scottish so maybe they wanted to impress. But I doubt it as I've heard they are best in town for a reason and I concur. The batter was light and flakey as was the fish. Flakey and airy to touch unlike some of the other garbage ice tried in town. I'll be back for sure.
Best fish and chips around and great staff. This shows in just how popular it is. Unlike most other F&C places it isn't a sterile, plastic environment but more lime a traditional Scottish cafe.
Just went there for lunch. Best halibut fish and chips I've had in years! Sometimes you get good fish and bad fries or good fries and bad fish. They were both delicious. The service was fabulous and it was fast. This is important when you are on your lunch hour. A little pricey but it was well worth it. I will be going back again and bringing my family. I would highly recommend this place if you love halibut and fries.
