We loved Son of a Peach! The service was amazing, I wish we got our servers name so I could compliment her to her manager. The food was also amazing! Great ambiance, great food and great service.
Pizza is out of this world good very fresh ingredients many toppings are made in house and the crust is perfect. my only criticism is it sometimes takes a long time to get your food, the wait staff is a bit clueless and disorganized. last time i went it took 15min to get our drinks 30 min to get our app and an hour to get our food. When we did receive our food it was very good and if we didn't have somewhere else to be would have been worth the wait. Also the layout of the restaurant is a bit cramped and awkward they have an open kitchen and a giant bar in the middle of the room which kinda takes up a lot of space but the pizza is worth it just not a place to go if you're pressed for time or claustrophobic.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Unfortunately this restaurant has horrible customer service. We waited 45 minutes for an appetizer-1 salad and then waited another 15 minutes for two small pizzas. We were told the manager was the chef and was too busy to speak to us. Then we were told the bartender was the manager and said because everything is fresh it takes a while. We had to ask two different waitresses for a manager. When we arrived it wasn't busy and then we were given the run around just to get our food and a manager.The staff was extremely rude and gave this restaurant a bad representation. Would not recommend this place unless you have an hour and a half to waste waiting for service and for food. I don't believe this to be an isolated incident, nor will it be the last. Try a franchise for better service and better food.I've quickly realized after reading so many negative reviews that this kind of horrible service is "normal". Absolutely horrible. It seems the mom and pops of this place doesn't seem to care at all.
I really feel this place does not have good pizza. The pizza crust is not good quality flour. The toppings are okay....greasy cheese. The ambience is good. Busy place! Good for them. I just feel that downtown Burlington lacks a good strong food scene and this place could improve their game. I'll go for the Caesar salad and a beer. (Clean your lights and the walls!) :)
I ate the best pizza Ive ever had at Son of a Peach. I ordered the High Five Cheese pizza. Definitely worth the price. The crust (dough) is easily the best part! Their Caesar salad is great too. I cant wait to come back.
