Poor Management. Dirty - real dirty sheets under the bedspread. Front desk was clueless. Said room had a pullout couch - it did not. Was a battle just to get clean sheets. Half empty mouthwash bottle. A bit run down also. Charged an extra $40 accommodation fee - front desk removed this. Nice try.
I went to the hotel for the One Concept Canadian Massage Conference and I was relieved to see that there was plenty of parking spots and that the area where the key note speakers and panels were speaking was spacious. Also in the atria where the trade show was nice and open and airy and enjoyable to walk around in.
Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was reasonable (buffet for 14.95 kids 4.95). This hotel is definitely aging. The hallways are dark and many imperfections. Floor 3 had an outlet installed diagonally. Hot tub broken, pool rusty. The atrium smelled dank. Beds are firm but comfy and a set of firm and soft pillows on each bed. Bathrooms don't have fans (or working ones Atleast) which for a family can lead to humid rooms. Parking is free so that's a plus.
My hotel room was ready on time, was clean and had all the amenities I expected. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. The breakfast buffet presented an excellent variety of choices. Overall, I had a very pleasant one night stay.
Clean place, pretty quiet rooms (meaning the hall and neighbors don't seem to be heard too easily). Seems a little odd that the large conference place is adjacent to their indoor pool though, seeing as the pool air (and smell) would be shared with whatever's going on in the conference area. That's the only real downside I found. Otherwise, it's close to some good restaurants along the service road. Big bonus there.
