I've been a customer at this location since owning my first dog as a child but is now under new ownership. Great staff, 24/7 service is a definite advantage and peace of mind if your pet is unwell. In emergency situations reception will tell you if you should anticipate a wait time or if they're too overbooked to handle your situation and may refer you to another clinic. In comparison with other vet clinics I think Askey may be on par or slightly better priced for treatment. Dr Stephanie Ng has seen our dog since a puppy and while going to the vet is not a favourite thing, she puts him at relative ease. I've had little interaction with the other vets on staff and cannot offer anymore information about them, but they seem professional, empathetic and willing to help. Also they will refer you to the Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital (MOVE) for more specialized treatment that Askey may not handle. Pet food, treats, and pet accessories all available on site for purchase. They did offer boarding at one time but would only recommend if your pet is recovering from a procedure, as the site is not a large facility. Not sure if pet boarding is an option, check with reception. 24/7 aspect sets them apart.
Askey Animal Hospital is a wonderful facility. They are knowledgeable, empathetic, kind and efficient. They have taken care of 2 cats and a dog of ours. Every doctor we have seen there are very nice and its easy to have a good rapport with them. They offer explanations of everything they are doing and the quote is right-on-the-mark with no surprise charges. Thank you Askey!
Dr Manaki was amazing with our dog's emergency visit last night, she helped save his life. Today's vet was not as good and I was a little concerned. Tomorrow I'll see another vet and hope for a good one.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Took my kitten in who had a fish hook caught in her mouth, and the vet wouldn't treat her because I had no money. My kitten was suffering, my son & I were crying. The vet called the police on me to have me removed, plus wanted to charge me for uttering "racial slurs" he wore a turban, and I told him what I thought of him. IT WAS HORRENDOUS. Would've taken him 5 minutes to help. Whatever happened to caring about the animal. DISGUSTING....could go on and on. NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER.
Able to take in our sick cat on short notice. Acquired records from our regular vet. Provided gentle care and accurate diagnosis. Cat better within 24 hours. Very pleased with service and follow up phone call support.
