On August 23rd I visited the Burlington location for a consultation. During this visit the recommendation was to complete 2 treatments; Dermal Filler and Ultherapy.I was asked for my contact information, invoiced and advised to take an Advil 30 minutes prior to my treatment. Unfortunately late that evening there was an incident in my home and I quickly realized I would need all resources to correct. Within less than 24 hours I called the Burlington location twice to advise them I would have to cancel and asked them issue a credit....My calls were not returned.2 days later it was very clear that customer care was not a priority. Finally reaching a receptionist I asked for the contact information for Head Office. I was given a # which as it turned out was for your Davisville location. The rep I spoke with there was very understanding and indicated she would have someone return my call immediately. I received a call 2 days later from the assistant manager advising me credits were not a 'policy' and would not be issued. In complete disbelief I sought guidance and have since discovered something more troubling. I was made aware that without a complete medial history, a recommendation for treatment should NEVER be made. This is mandatory and falls under 'Standards & Practices for Medical Esthetics'. Further, As it turns out because of my history there are concerns that I should have been made aware of AND if i had been made aware I would have been completely against!Standards & Practices for Medical EstheticsPatient ConsiderationsDescribe to the patient the proposed treatment and the risks of the procedureObtain a written consent from the patient to provide the proposed treatmentHealth Care RecordsThere must be an indelible clinical record for each patient which documents:Health historyIn addition, I have also learned that treatments should be invoiced the day of treatment; Not in advance. And certainly not until everything has been explained in detail and a release has been signed acknowledging a complete understanding of treatment, possible side effects and policies. Code of EthicsEach member agrees to inform their clients of all payment policies, costs, and/or fee schedules prior to billing for any services rendered or products supplied.As someone with limited experience in this area I can tell you my experience with your brand has been disappointing and when I think of the side effects I could have suffered due to my history...absolutely frightening! Your teams lack of customer care with the only focus being on making money is disheartening to say the least. I have reached out to both customer service and accounting without so much as a response. Sadly it appears I will have engage legal counsel and ensure I let as many people know to beware!
