A nice park. It has a swimming pool and play area for kids. Leads to waterfront trails, enjoy the sunset by the marina.
Nice place to spend the day with the family. The pool is a great bonus, and kids can easily spend the entire day entertained during summer. The park is also spacious with great areas for BBQ. There's an abundant number of movable tables too. However the park falls short of providing appropriate number of washrooms. There are 2 washrooms only. Last time I was there there was no electricity in them.
We parked here and biked around in the area. Although we didn't make full use of the park we could see it was a beautiful location. The grounds were really well kept and had a wide variety of activity areas available.
A beautiful park, with a short trail by the shore (including the marina). In the spring, bring bird seeds and peanuts with you and, if you are quiet enough, chickadees and chipmunks will come and eat from your hand :)
LA Salle was a wonderful place.. I took a kindergarten class there for the day. Wonderful park trails (be sure to stay on the trail as there is poison ivy, among other dangerous plants) but the trails are full of nature. Birds, squirrels, chipmunks, swans, etc. Then there's a little splash pad and wading pool and huge picnic area. Wonderful place to visit this summer.
