Nice little park along Bronte Creek. Great for dog walking (leash required) with clean water if you or your furry friend require a cool-off. Can be overwhelmed by larger groups. Great place for an afternoon BBQ. Well kept, no garbage lying about. Ice cream shop and bistro right at entrance. Overall a nice place for an afternoon visit or stroll, close to Milton and Burlington.
Love the park. I walk my deaf great dane there everyday. The only issue which I do encounter about 90% of the time is that there are dogs off leash. When you have a dog reactive dog that is deaf it can be tough trying to manage her around loose dogs. If i encounter another dog walker whose dog is leashed it is much easier to deal with so I just turn around and go a different route.
A really nice place for a picnic, for sledding, a walk, or even for kids. The area is nice and sunny with beautiful sites and sounds which makes it a nice place for a picnic.Their is a big hill near the entrance, and during winter it is nice and steep for sledding. The area is small, but is still a nice place for a calming and soothing walk near a stream.Kids can have tons of fun in this stream of water via playing around or catching crayfish.
Drove here as per a recommendation from a friend so our children could enjoy what nature has to offer. Was not impressed at all!!! Our kids couldn't find anything living in the water and there were signs pretty much saying the water was not clean and to pretty much use it at your own risk. Seeing that we went there for the wildlife, my kids went into the river anyways hoping they'd find something to observe. BAD DECISION! They stank after and unfortunately there wasn't anywhere they could rinse off. The facilities were decent but overall this place was crowded and not worth the drive for us. Considering we're a 5 minute drive to Erindale Park, this park was quite disappointing!
Very nice park, good play structure for young kids. There is a river running through it, would like to see if there are fish!
